What Proofline is — and is not

Proofline measures the structure of text and reports how consistent it is with AI-generated writing, as a probability at a stated operating point. It is a measurement, not a verdict. A result is evidence to weigh, never proof on its own that a specific person did or did not write something. Do not use it as the sole basis for an academic, employment, or disciplinary decision.

1. Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys secure and for all activity under them. Keys are issued to you; do not share or resell access. We may suspend a key for abuse, non-payment, or violation of these terms.

2. Acceptable use

Do not submit content you have no right to submit, attempt to disrupt or reverse the service, exceed your plan's limits by automation, or use results to harass or defame a person. Detection results must be used fairly and with human judgment.

3. Plans, billing, and trials

4. Refunds

The free trial exists so you can evaluate the service before paying. If a charge is made in error, contact us and we will make it right.

5. Intellectual property

The detection method, models, and site are ours and remain ours. Your submitted content remains yours; the signed result for a scan is yours to use and share.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Proofline is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature survive termination (IP, liability, governing law) continue to apply.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; we will update the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
